A | Islamabad, Oct 12 (UNI) A leading Pakistani newspaper on Wednesday called for an investigation into persisting allegations that "a foreign conspiracy" brought down the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
"Confusion and obfuscation have become a predominant feature of our national politics," the Dawn said in an editorial.
It referred to President Arif Alvi reportedly changing his stance after asserting earlier that he was not convinced a "foreign conspiracy" indeed toppled cricketer-turned-politician's PTI government.
The Dawn said it cannot disagree with the President’s contention that “a thorough investigation” was needed into the allegation.
"It would help clear the murkiness that still surrounds the issue despite two NSC meetings discounting the existence of such a scheme," it said.
The PTI has continued to relentlessly push the theory, even after the leak of two audio clips in which some of its top leaders, including Khan, appear to be discussing how to “play” with the contents of the cipher.
It said that if a probe was conducted by a committee acceptable to all, it will help lower political temperatures in the country.

C | ”刘明说。 塔山屯镇建大棚种植蔬菜有30余年历史，从最初的几座、几十座、几百座，发展到目前2550座。主要集中在丁家村、潘家村、许家村、西王村等4个村子，涉及1000余户4000多口人。绥中县农业农村局统计显示，该镇的大棚规模，在绥中县20余个乡镇名列前茅，主要种植茄子、辣椒、西红柿等蔬菜。 据塔山屯镇镇长孙雪介绍，由于蔬菜的质量、价格在市场有较强的竞争力，多远销北京、上海、武汉等城市。种植户销售大都采用合作社或利用自己的人脉资源及农村经纪人模式。种植户在技术、资金、销售等方面遇到困难，镇政府第一时间予以指导、帮扶。 棚菜经济是塔山屯镇支柱产业，据粗略统计，2023年年产值近3亿元，年利润近2亿元。一直以来，镇政府科学谋划、有效实施、积极引导，朝着农业产业规模化、高质量发展的方向前行。孙雪说，镇政府将给种植户提供最暖心的服务、最细心的沟通、最舒心的环境，让他们心无旁骛专心生产、扩大经营，让塔山屯镇的棚菜经济“棚”勃发展。
